Getting Started with the Cyber Safety Academy
Raising awareness and funds using Cyber Safety Academy Fundraising is one of the most profitable ways to raise money. You will want to use the Academy year after year because of the great value the buyers receive. And everyone just LOVES to learn about how to keep their children safe in today’s digital world!
When you decide to run a cyber safety fundraiser with us, The Academy provides FREE Selling Kits. Each includes:
✔ Sales sheet and order forms
✔ Collection envelope for each student
✔ Master order forms
Once you collect all the Academy orders, you’ll submit your order using the master order form, along with payment, less your profits.
An Academy Consultant is always available to track your order and assist you each step of the way. Our goal is to make your fundraiser successful.
When will your fundraiser take place?
Start at the beginning
Start your process by creating a fundraising calendar for the entire year. Lay out the year with a major fundraiser slotted for the fall, the spring, and during registration. Each event will need roughly a two-month block of time set aside to assure a successful event.
You can also pencil in a smaller holiday fundraiser if desired, or a fundraiser around back-to-school night, registration, or around National Cyber Safety Awareness Day, which is on May 17th. Give it a three to five week block of time. Each specific fundraiser has its own unique aspects, but most of the organizational timelines remain the same.
Be sure when plugging in your fundraising dates that you avoid scheduling conflicts. Don’t plan a school fundraiser that overlaps exam times or holiday breaks. Avoid setting any distribution activities for days when school is out, the youth group is away on a retreat, the team is playing in a tournament, and so on.
Create a specific timeline
Different types of fundraisers will have different timelines. The major variable is the product delivery window. A fundraiser with products being delivered immediately by the seller will therefore be much shorter than one where the orders come in during a two-week period.
Here are some approximate timelines:
✔ Planning & organization – one to two weeks
✔ Information dissemination & arrival of selling materials – one week
✔ Selling period – 7-14 days or shorter for single day events
✔ Order tally & remittance – one week to supplier’s or the Academy’s hands
✔ Waiting for shipment – one to two weeks
✔ Sorting, and delivering – one week
The Academy requires a minimum order of 100 items. That said, several of the Academy’s items are available for individual sale. Click here for more information.
